David Olney
David Olney serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Berkshire. In his position, David is responsible for leading all aspects of the Firm’s activities and operations. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
With over four decades of experience in real estate acquisitions since joining Berkshire in 1986, David has been involved in nearly $52 billion of acquisitions since 1990. Prior to joining Berkshire, David served as President of Berkshire Realty Holdings, L.P., a joint venture partnership with affiliates of The Blackstone Group and Goldman Sachs, from 1999 until its liquidation in 2004.
David received a Master of Business Administration from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Bryant College, where he also serves on the Board of Trustees.

Ravi Ragnauth
Ravi Ragnauth serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Berkshire. In his position, Ravi is responsible for overseeing Debt Capital Markets, Finance & Accounting, and the Firm’s Strategy. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Ravi served as the Chief Financial Officer at the Davis Companies. During his tenure at the Davis Companies, Ravi was responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial operations, including capital markets, debt placement, accounting, tax, treasury, and implementation of all financial and risk management strategies. He also led the firm’s information technology and human resources benefits. Ravi has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, including previous employment at the Moinian Group, Fannie Mae and Ernst and Young LLP.
Ravi received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, UC and is a Chartered Accountant. Ravi is also the President of the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) Boston.
David Doherty
David Doherty serves as Head of Debt Capital Markets at Berkshire. In his position, David is responsible for sourcing and structuring debt financing for the Firm’s investments and managing lender relationships. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
David joined Berkshire in 1995 and has held several positions, including Chief Financial Officer of Investment Management, where he managed portfolio accounting, investor reporting, investment valuation and portfolio modeling. Prior to joining Berkshire, David served as a Senior Associate at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP (now known as PwC, LLP), where he specialized in the real estate, investment, and financial services industries.
David received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Peter Annunziata
Peter Annunziata serves as the Head of Corporate Accounting & Reporting at Berkshire. In his position, Peter is responsible for the firm’s accounting and reporting with direct oversight of the Corporate Finance & Accounting, Tax, Accounts Payable, and Treasury departments.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Peter served as a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP’s assurance practice. He provided services to real estate entities of all sizes including large SEC and FTSE listed filers, investment advisors, joint ventures, REITs and other real estate and private equity companies, separate accounts and funds following US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS professional standards.
Peter received a Master of Business Administration from Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Brittany Colgan
Brittany Colgan serves as the Head of Equity Accounting and Reporting at Berkshire. In her position, Brittany is responsible for overseeing all aspects of investor reporting, performance, portfolio accounting and fund and investor administration for Berkshire’s equity funds, including an open-ended fund, a senior housing fund, value funds, and separate accounts.
Brittany joined Berkshire in 2013 and has held a variety of roles in the Portfolio Reporting and Accounting group.
Brittany received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from University of Florida.
Joe Orlandello
Joe Orlandello serves as the Head of Corporate Tax at Berkshire. In his position, Joe oversees all aspects of the tax compliance function for Berkshire’s equity and debt funds. He also guides fund structuring and technical support to the firm’s investments and operational teams on tax-related matters.
Joe joined Berkshire in 2005 and has extensive institutional tax knowledge from his experience with the company. Prior to joining Berkshire, Joe was a tax analyst at Estabrook and Co. where he specialized in tax planning and compliance.
Joe received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Maryland Bible College and Seminary and is an Enrolled Agent licensed to practice and represent taxpayers before the IRS. He is an active member of the REIT tax director’s community and NAEA.
Christine Powers
Christine Powers serves as the Head of Debt Accounting and Reporting at Berkshire. In her position, Christine is responsible for overseeing all aspects of investor reporting, performance, portfolio accounting and fund and investor administration for Berkshire’s credit and private lending funds and separate accounts. Since joining Berkshire in 2014, she has held a variety of roles in the Portfolio Reporting and Accounting group, with oversight over various strategies, including Berkshire’s Value Funds, Senior Housing Fund, Venture Funds, Debt, and Bridge Funds.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Christine served as Assistant Vice President at AEW Capital Management. During her tenure at AEW, Christine oversaw several real estate separate accounts with varying strategy and property type, including senior housing, multifamily, office, retail, and industrial.
Christine received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Stonehill College.
Capital Markets
Michael Coffey
Michael Coffey serves as the Head of Capital Markets at Berkshire. In his position, Michael is responsible for leading all capital formation including capital raising, product development and investor relations. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Michael was at Greenhill & Co. in the Real Estate Capital Advisory Group and was actively involved in raising institutional capital for a range of real estate investment strategies and capital structures. He previously held positions in the Commercial Real Estate Finance Group at Guggenheim Partners and at Credit Suisse, where he was a member of both the Real Estate Private Fund Group and the Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group.
Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College.
Jed Gates
Jed Gates is based out of Berkshire’s San Francisco office and is responsible for capital raising and investor relations for the Western United States, Canada, Asia, and Australia. He is also a partner in the company’s ownership.
Prior to joining Berkshire in 2015, he was a Director at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management in the company's investor relations group. He served as a real estate product specialist and was actively involved in raising institutional capital for a range of real estate investment strategies. He previously worked as a Market Principal for the Western United States at Greystar Real Estate Partners and spent eight years at Buchanan Street Partners where he was a Structured Finance Capital Advisory Team Leader.
Jed received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia and chaired the UGA Bay Area Alumni Association from 2002-2010. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, where he currently serves as a ULI Governing Trustee and as Co-Chair for ULI America’s NEXT Leadership Initiative. Jed resides in Mill Valley, California, where he enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his wife and 2 children.
Jennifer Cooper
Jennifer Cooper serves as the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at Berkshire. In her position, Jennifer is responsible for capital formation, business development and client relations activities, including the preparation of fund offering materials, all client, and consultant due diligence and the onboarding of investors.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Jennifer worked at Guggenheim Real Estate, where she was a member of the marketing and client service team. During her tenure at Guggenheim Real Estate, Jennifer was responsible for working with the firm’s diversified open-ended fund and assisted in launching an international fund-of-funds.
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University.
Alexia Heenan
Alexia Heenan serves as the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at Berkshire. In her position, Alexia is responsible for capital formation including capital raising, product development and investor relations.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Alexia served as an Assistant Vice President in Blackstone’s Real Estate division focused on its global opportunistic real estate platform. During her tenure at Blackstone, Alexia held multi-faceted involvement across valuations, portfolio management, investor reporting, financial analysis, and fund accounting.
Alexia received a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University.
Enterprise Risk Management and Information Technology
Mary Beth Bloom
Mary Beth Bloom serves as the General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer at Berkshire. In her position, Mary Beth is responsible for the coordination and delivery of all legal services to the firm and its affiliates, as well as overseeing the compliance, human resources and risk management functions. She also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee and chair of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
Mary Beth joined Berkshire in 2000, holding several positions in the legal department, including Assistant General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.
Mary Beth received a Jurist Doctorate from New England School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Holy Cross. She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and New York.
Thomas Jackson
Thomas Jackson serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Berkshire. In his position, Thomas is responsible for global information technology operations and strategic initiatives that involve systems, infrastructure, and information security. His primary areas of focus are the maintenance of a secure computing environment and the execution of an information technology strategy that aligns with and supports overall business objectives.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Thomas served as a Senior Vice President at Abrams Capital. During his tenure at Abrams Capital, Thomas was responsible for the entire application portfolio from investment research and trading through investment operations, portfolio accounting, financial reporting, tax, and investor relations.
Thomas received a Business Administration in Mathematical Economics degree from Rice University. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
Jeff Morandi
Jeff Morandi serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Berkshire. In his position, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s compliance program and ensuring the firm is meeting its regulatory obligations as a U.S. registered investment advisor. In addition, he is responsible for managing all non-U.S. regulatory filings and registration requirements relating to the firm’s advisory business with foreign investors.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Jeff served as Compliance Associate at Arrowstreet Capital, Limited Partnership, where he worked in the Regulatory Compliance Department. He administered the code of ethics, reviewed marketing materials, managed regulatory filings, and assisted with the annual assessment of the firm’s compliance program.
Jeff received a Master of Business Administration from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Investments from Babson College.
Dave Sutherland
Dave Sutherland serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Berkshire. In his position, Dave oversees all aspects of the firm’s talent strategy, management, policies, practices, and operations. As a senior leader of the firm, Dave serves as a member of the Berkshire Leadership Team, BerkshireUNITES, BerkshireTHRIVES, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Committees.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Dave served as a senior HR leader and business advisor, at Expedia, Lumen Technologies, and Snyk. During his tenure at these tech companies, Dave drove rapid, scalable growth & delivered lasting value through innovative people and organizational solutions. Dave has over 20 years of experience in the human resources industry, and before he transitioned into human resources, he started his career with Prudential and was a Special Agent in the FBI for 5 years.
Dave received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston College.

Carolyn Burgess
Carolyn Burgess serves as the Chief Credit Officer at Berkshire. In her position, Carolyn is responsible for ongoing loan monitoring, underwriting, and the expansion of investment strategies, specifically direct debt, indirect debt, equity, and development. She also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment and Valuation Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Carolyn was Vice President & Multifamily Chief Risk Officer at Fannie Mae, where she led a team responsible for overseeing and monitoring the Multifamily Mortgage Business and chaired the Multifamily Credit Committee.
Carolyn received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the University of Virginia. She has also completed executive leadership and corporate risk programs at MIT, HBS, and UCLA.
Eric Draeger
Eric Draeger serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Berkshire. In his position, Eric is responsible for multifamily acquisitions and disposition. He has been with Berkshire since 2010. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Eric served as Director of Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, formerly known as Berkshire Mortgage Finance L.P., culminating with Chief Credit Officer for the latter.
Eric received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from Northwestern University.
Jon Frey
Jon Frey serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Berkshire. In his position, Jon is responsible for overseeing Portfolio and Asset Management, Property Management and Redevelopment, Research, and Information Technology. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Jon served as the Managing Director at the Davis Companies. During his tenure at the Davies Companies, Jon was responsible for managing investor relationships, oversaw several of the firm’s investments, and was a member of the Investment Committee and Executive Committee. He helped establish the firm as an institutional fund manager with over $1 billion of capital under management. He started his career in real estate at AEW after spending 10 years as an executive in the technology industry with Sapient Corporation. Jon maintains a strong interest in how technology and sustainability can enhance the built environment.
Jon received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cornell University. Jon is also a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the National Multifamily Housing Council, the Urban Land Institute and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional.
John Lamb
John Lamb serves as the Head of Portfolio Management at Berkshire. In his position, John is responsible for the execution, management, and investment performance of the Firm’s equity strategies, which focus on making investments across the U.S. residential housing spectrum at Berkshire. He is also a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, John was with BlackRock for more than 19 years. During his tenure at BlackRock, John served as a Managing Director within the private equity real estate business as the Head of Transactions and the Head of U.S. Real Estate Investment Management. Prior to BlackRock, John was with AEW LP, for almost 10 years, where a majority of his tenure was spent as an acquisition officer. During his tenure at BlackRock and AEW, John was involved in more than $30 billion in transactions.
John received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Saint Anslem College.
Jon Pfeil
Jon Pfeil serves as the Head of Debt Portfolio Management and Investments at Berkshire. In his position, Jon is responsible for managing debt strategies, focused on multifamily debt investments across the capital stack, with a particular focus on Berkshire’s credit funds and MF1’s private lending platform. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Jon served as Principal at Ranieri Real Estate Partners. During his tenure at Ranieri Real Estate Partners, Jon led the acquisition, operations, and disposition of Berkeley Point Capital, a multifamily mortgage finance platform. Jon has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, including previous employment at Deutsche Bank and Berkshire Mortgage Finance.
Jon received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Holy Cross.
Eric Schrumpf
Eric Schrumpf serves as the Head of Equity Investments at Berkshire. In his position, Eric oversees teams based in Boston, Dallas and San Francisco and is responsible for the acquisitions of multifamily properties. He joined the firm in 2012 to open the company’s San Francisco office. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Eric served as Vice President at Pacific Urban and was responsible for the Northern California transaction activity of existing multifamily assets. His career began with J.P. Morgan in New York.
Eric received a Master of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University.
Heather Boujoulian
Heather Boujoulian serves as the Head of Development at Berkshire. In her position, Heather is responsible for all multifamily and senior housing development joint-ventures, overall portfolio composition and performance for the senior housing fund, as well as any construction-related challenges across the Berkshire portfolio. She also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Heather served as Vice President at Criterion Development Partners and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of multifamily development in New England.
Heather received a Master in Urban Planning from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Roger Williams University. She is on the Multifamily Leadership Board of the National Association of Home Builders and is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council. She also serves on the Board of Trustees at Roger Williams University, as well as on the Board of Heading Home, a non-profit on a mission to end homelessness in Greater Boston.
Greg Collins
Greg Collins serves as the Managing Director of Equity Investments at Berkshire. In his position, Greg is responsible for leading acquisition efforts in markets located throughout the Central United States, namely Arizona, Colorado, South Florida, and Texas.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Greg worked in Acquisitions at Starpoint Properties with a focus on Multifamily, Office and Retail.
Greg received a Master of Real Estate in Finance from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance degree from St. Edward’s University.
Jack Dent
Jack Dent serves as the Managing Director of Portfolio Management at Berkshire. In his position, Jack is responsible for portfolio management of one large and four smaller separate account portfolios consisting of 35 properties, 12,000 units and 68,000 square feet of retail. He has been involved in over $2.7 billion in acquisitions, dispositions, and developments since joining Berkshire in 2007.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Jack served as the CEO of Sagebrush Capital Holdings, President of Village Green Management Company, in which he oversaw 30,000 multifamily units, and Senior Vice President of Asset and Property Management at JPI Partners.
Jack received a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University.
Steve Gullo
Steve Gullo serves as a Managing Director of Portfolio Management at Berkshire. In his position, Steve is responsible for leading the Value Fund Series team. He also assists with the development of investment strategy, execution, and management of investment performance of the firm’s equity strategies across the U.S. residential housing spectrum.
Prior to returning to Berkshire, where he spent the beginning of his career, Steve served as the Head of Residential at CBRE Investment Management for 15 years. During his tenure at CBRE Investment Management, Steve completed more than $12 billion of residential investments, leading the transactions and asset management responsibilities across the company’s residential investment programs. He also actively supported the firm’s capital raise and investor relations efforts.
Steve received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Boston University. Steve is a member of NMHC and ULI.
John Roach
John Roach serves as the Managing Director and Deputy Portfolio Manager of Debt Portfolio Management and Investments at Berkshire. In his position, John is responsible for assisting in the strategy, operations, and deployment of multifamily debt investments, with a primary focus on the MF1 direct lending platform.
Prior to joining Berkshire, John served as Senior Vice President and Market Manager at U.S. Bank. During his tenure at U.S. Bank, John managed loan originations for the Bank’s Boston and Washington, D.C. offices. John’s 20+ years in real estate has also included time at PNC Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
John received a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from Mercyhurst University. He currently serves as the President of the Real Estate Finance Association (RE&FA) in Boston, MA.
Timothy Sugrue
Tim Sugrue serves as the Head of Equity Asset Management at Berkshire. In his position, he is responsible for overseeing the execution of strategic business plans and strategies, assessing operating results and investment performance and asset valuations.
Tim joined Berkshire in 1999, holding several positions in the accounting department, having most recently served as the Head of Portfolio Analytics and Valuation.
Tim received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Saint Anslem College.
Matthew Whitlock
Matthew Whitlock serves as the Head of Senior Housing Investments at Berkshire. In this position, he is responsible for sourcing senior housing acquisitions and joint venture partnership opportunities. He also actively manages the Firm’s Senior Housing Fund and assists in the creation of new debt and equity products in the senior housing space. He serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Matthew served as Vice Chairman at CBRE. During his tenure at CBRE, Matthew was co-leader of the Senior Housing Platform.
Matthew received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University.
Dan Kinchla
Dan Kinchla serves as the Head of Collateral Manager and DCH at Berkshire. In his position, Dan is responsible for overseeing the asset management of all structured debt investments, troubled loans, and workouts within Berkshire’s Credit Funds and the MF1 lending platform.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Dan was at Grand Coast Capital where he oversaw the underwriting and asset management of Grand Coast’s domestic investment portfolio. Prior to that, he was a Senior Asset Manager at UC Funds in charge of a diverse portfolio of structured loans, troubled loans, and REO assets spanning various asset classes.
Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and multiple professional certificates in Real Estate from Boston University.
Matthew Klein
Matthew Klein serves as the Head of Underwriting of Debt Portfolio Management and Investments at Berkshire. In his position, Matthew leads the MF1 underwriting team, overseeing the underwriting function, focusing on transaction assessment and credit quality, structuring, and execution of complex real estate private debt investments to ensure disciplined investment decisions that align with the Firm’s strategic goals.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Matthew served as Director of Real Estate Debt Strategies at CrossHarbor Capital Partners. During his tenure at CrossHarbor, Matthew co-led the originations team and was instrumental in launching and scaling the firm’s debt business. He helped grow the platform to over $2.5 billion in AUM, led the underwriting of more than $1.3 billion in loans, and spearheaded several complex loan workouts and restructurings.
Matthew received a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. He is also a CFA Charter holder.
Gleb Nechayev
Gleb Nechayev serves as the Head of Research and Chief Economist at Berkshire. In his position, Gleb leads economic and market research that guides the Firm’s investment strategies and portfolio construction. Gleb is a recognized economist specializing in residential real estate markets, including industry experience counseling institutional and private clients. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Gleb was Senior Managing Economist for CBRE Econometric Advisors formerly known as Torto Wheaton Research where he provided an economic and real estate outlook for the multifamily, retail and hotel property sectors.
Gleb received a Master in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the National Economic University of Kyiv, Ukraine. He is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate, the Urban Land Institute, the National Multifamily Housing Council, and the National Association of Business Economists.
John McCarthy
John McCarthy serves as the Senior Vice President of Equity Asset Management at Berkshire, where he oversees the execution of strategic business plans for the communities under his management. In addition to his asset management responsibilities, John leads disposition efforts for all Berkshire funds. Since 2019, he has overseen the sale of 16,000 units, totaling $3.5 billion in purchase price.
Prior to joining Berkshire, John worked for CBRE New England’s Multifamily Appraisal group and a provider of LP equity for ground-up multifamily development. John joined Berkshire is 2011.
John received a Master of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Union College.
Jason Polcaro
Jason Polcaro serves as a Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management at Berkshire. In his position, Jason oversees the firm’s equity funds and multiple separately managed accounts. His responsibilities include detailed oversight of each portfolio, the evaluation of acquisitions and dispositions, property operational analysis, market analysis, and portfolio performance and management.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Jason served as Vice President of Real Estate Acquisitions and Asset Management at CrossHarbor Capital.
Jason received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Bentley University.
Brendon Sullivan
Brendon Sullivan serves as a Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management at Berkshire. In his position, Brendon is responsible for managing two Berkshire separate accounts.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Brendon served as an Analyst at Boston Capital. During his tenure at Boston Capital, Brendon worked in the multifamily tax credit syndication department.
Brendon received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Trinity College.
Property Management
Alan King
Alan King serves as Head of Property Management at Berkshire. In his position, Alan is responsible for overseeing all property operations professionals located throughout the United States. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Alan was a regional Director of Operations at Archon Residential, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.
Alan received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Florida. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the National Apartment Association.
Thomas Rucker
Thomas Rucker serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Property Management at Berkshire. In his position, Thomas is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations for the property management platform. His responsibilities span National Real Estate Services, Property systems and technology, marketing and resident experience, construction services, training and education, as well as national purchasing, procurement, and contract management across the portfolio. In addition, Thomas leads Berkshire’s ESG and sustainability strategy through the firm’s BerkshireTHRIVE initiative.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Thomas served as Vice President and Managing Director of Real Estate for Sawyer Realty Holdings, LLC. During his tenure at Sawyer Realty Holdings, LLC, Thomas managed more than 30,000 units.
Thomas received a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM®) designation from the National Apartment Association and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) through the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is also a licensed Property Manager with the District of Columbia Real Estate Commission and is a Past President and active member of the Property Management Association (PMA) of Washington, D.C. Danielle Hyden
Danielle Hyden serves as a Senior Vice President of Property Management at Berkshire. In her position, Danielle is responsible for oversight of strategic business services impacting property management operations including utility management, revenue management, property budgeting and forecasting, operationally focused reporting, and the real estate tax management platform.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Danielle served as the Director of Financial Analysis and Accounting at Sawyer Realty Holdings. During her tenure at Sawyer Realty Holdings, Danielle was responsible for oversight of the firm’s property accounting, treasury, and financial analysis functions.

Louis Kovalsky
Louis Kovalsky serves as the Senior Vice President of Property Management for the Eastern Division. In his position, Louis is responsible for overall property operations, revenue/expense management, asset preservation, marketing, training, recruiting, supervision of regional management, regional support and site level teams.
Prior to joining Berkshire, Louis served as an Area Vice President at UDR. During his tenure, Louis was responsible for overseeing operations across a diverse portfolio of properties from Boston to Atlanta with many metropolitan areas in between, including NYC, Metro DC, and Philadelphia. Louis brings over three decades of strategic leadership and expertise in the multi-family real estate industry to his role.
Louis received a Master of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Crissy Tosch
Crissy Tosch serves as the Senior Vice President of the West Division for PropertyManagement at Berkshire. In her position, Crissy leads operations across a diverseportfolio of communities, responsible for driving financial performance, optimizingexpenses, executing capital strategies, and delivering exceptional residentexperiences across the region.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the multifamily industry, Crissy has a proventrack record of enhancing asset value, leading high-performing teams, and navigatingcomplex operational challenges. Crissy partners closely with cross-functional leadersto advance strategic initiatives and drive long-term portfolio performance.
Crissy received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado.

C. Ronald Blankenship
Ronald Blankenship has over 40 years of real estate experience and extensive knowledge of the REIT industry, including cross-border experience. Blankenship was previously chairman and CEO of Verde Realty. He was also vice chairman and chief operating officer of Security Capital Group Incorporated, later sold to GE Capital Corporation. Earlier in his career, Ronald held senior leadership positions with Archstone Inc., Trammel Crow Company, Mischer Investments, Heritage Mortgage Company, and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.
Ronald is a graduate of the University of Texas. He is a certified public accountant and currently sits on the boards of Regency Centers Corporation, Pacolet-Milliken Enterprises Inc., and Carefree Communities.
Joseph Azrack
Joseph Azrack is currently the principal owner of Azrack & Company. He is the founder and past chairman and managing partner of Apollo Global Real Estate and was previously the senior advisor to Apollo Global Management. Prior to joining Apollo, Joseph was president and CEO of Citi Property Investors (CPI). Before CPI, he was chief executive and chairman of AEW Capital Management, L.P., founder and president of the AEW Partners Funds, a director of Curzon Global Partners, and founder and chairman of AEW Europe.
Joseph holds an MBA from Columbia University, a bachelor of science degree from Villanova University, and is an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. He is currently a director of Equity One (NYSE: EQY) and the executive chairman of The Real Estate Group of Safanad, Inc., a global private investment group. Azrack is a member and past chairman of the Pension Real Estate Association and is also a trustee of the Urban Land Institute.
Michael Krupp
Michael Krupp is Managing Director of the Krupp Family Office. He is also Director and Portfolio Manager of ReFund, LLC. Previously, Michael was a Vice President of Portfolio Management at Berkshire, responsible for the management of the Krupp Family portfolio. Krupp has been involved with Berkshire since 1997, including positions with Berkshire mortgage finance, property operations, and the acquisitions group. He was a senior appraiser for Metropolitan Valuation Services, a commercial property appraisal and consulting practice located in New York City. Michael is also founder and owner of Area Four Restaurant Group and has over a decade of commercial retail and hospitality experience.
Richard Krupp
Richard Krupp is Managing Partner of Pierpoint Capital, a firm he co-founded to invest in differentiated healthcare technology and advanced manufacturing businesses. Pierpoint targets growth equity and formation-stage investment opportunities consistent with the firm’s long-term vision. In his role, Richard works with and serves on the board of Coreflow, an aeromechanical manufacturing equipment company based in Israel.
Richard is also Managing Director of the Krupp Family Office, where he oversees operations and investments. In the past, Richard held acquisitions and asset management positions at Berkshire Residential Investments and served on the board of Berkshire Income Realty, Inc., in the years leading up to its privatization.
He is an ardent environmentalist and pursues a conservationist agenda through his work at the Krupp Foundation and Scenic Hudson. Richard, his wife, and three children live in New York City and spend weekends and summers at their home in the Hudson Valley.
Jeanne Myerson
Jeanne Myerson is the former chief executive officer of The Swig Company, a national commercial real estate investment company. She was previously president and chief executive officer of the Bailard, Biehl & Kaiser Real Estate Investment Trust. Earlier in her career, she held positions with NeXT Computer, Inc. and Metropolitan Life Real Estate Investments.
Jeanne graduated from Grinnell College and received her master’s degree in city and regional planning from Harvard University. Jeanne is presently on the advisory board of Mosaic Real Estate Investors, LLC and the Northern California Advisory Committee of Presidio Bank. She is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Lambda Alpha, and is on the boards of Bay Area nonprofits SPUR and BuildPublic.
David Olney
David Olney serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Berkshire. In his position, David is responsible for leading all aspects of the Firm’s activities and operations. He also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.
With over four decades of experience in real estate acquisitions since joining Berkshire in 1986, David has been involved in nearly $52 billion of acquisitions since 1990. Prior to joining Berkshire, David served as President of Berkshire Realty Holdings, L.P., a joint venture partnership with affiliates of The Blackstone Group and Goldman Sachs, from 1999 until its liquidation in 2004.
David received a Master of Business Administration from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Bryant College, where he also serves on the Board of Trustees.
